Game Play Q&A
Game Play Q&A
Q: How many players can play at once?
A: This game is co-operative, meaning you work together. You can play it by yourself, with two friends, three friends or up to eleven people in total. There are 11 characters that must be used each game. So if you have 3 players, two of them would control 4 characters each and one of them would control 3 characters.
Q: If a player is eliminated early, are they out for the whole game? 90-120 minutes of game time is a long time to wait around.
A: Generally speaking you usually have more than one character you are controlling. So even if one is eliminated, you still have another one. Also, if all of your characters are taken out, another player can give you one of theirs to play. In play testing there was very little sitting around.
Q: Is this game a play once and done? Or can it be played multiple times and each time will be different?
A: This game has lots of re-playability. There are only 25 SAE tiles, but 80 different options for what could be underneath them. You also don’t know if it will be a monster or a clue. Plus the mysterious man does negative things to the characters each time you gain an artifact. You roll the dice to see what happens and so that is another mechanic that causes each play to be different. Lastly there are different ways to set up the board to make it more or less challenging.
Q: For the game, when you reach the end point of the game when alive players try to get out asap, does it become a pvp game at that point?
A: No. In the final round, it is much like ep 10 of season one. The players move their characters quickly, taking one turn at a time, and can keep going until time runs out on the hourglass. The only time it is player vs player is in the death challenge.
Q: From what I see so far I’m just a little nervous about some of the character’s abilities. The savant being able to instantly defeat the evil of the house seems like a free ride to the end. Also, I think that some characters should have abilities that affect other characters in the game, (e.g.. The Fixer, once per game, being able to swap themselves out of a challenge with someone else in the game).
A: Defeating the evil of the house is less of a disadvantage than you think. There is only one card in the monster deck, which has 30 cards, named the evil of the house. That is what it is referring to. Some games it might not even be drawn. It is the hardest monster in the game, so if it does happen it is awesome, but I doesn’t guarantee a win. The savant can still die in death challenges like any other character.

What are Stretch Goals
Stretch goals are new items that are added to a game (in this case only the Premiere Edition) based on reaching thresholds (number of backers, total $ backed, social achievements). They will be announced during the campaign.

How will I get my game? How will I give you my address? Will there be a pledge manager?
Two weeks after the campaign ends, you will receive and email inviting you to go to BackerKit.com This is our pledge manager. In BackerKit, you supply us with your shipping address. Once the games arrive in the warehouse, we use this information to ship you your game. NOTE: Kickstarter does NOT give us your address. You must use the pledge manager.

Shipping is costly
Yes, it is. Since the global pandemic began, international shipping prices have gone up tremendously. Shippers are applying surcharges to each shipment of up to $10 per pound. We have found the lowest shipping rates around but it is still quite costly for some countries.

How do the custom cards work in the game?
The Custom Cards Will Assume The Ability Of The Character Card You Replace It With. So If You Swap Out The Fixer For Your Personal Card, You Will Have Her Ability To Trade Places With Another Character In A Death Challenge. That Way The Game Is Always Played With 11 Characters And The Abilities Are Balanced.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
